In 2008, Hypothesis moved into our new office on the 6th floor of the Historic Fine Arts Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
Built during LA’s first construction boom, it was envisioned as the city’s cultural centerpiece, with artist studios and workshops located above the ornate exhibition hall.
Today, the building is once again filled with smart, creative people – which only seems fitting in a building that is itself a work of art.

Hypothesis is continuing to grow and bring in talented new members to our team. Please join us in welcoming Kevin Fenton, Jacob Garrison and Kate Monninger. Kevin Fenton joins the design team as a Lead Designer. His background in advertising and market research combined with his passion for typography and design make him a great match for the Hypothesis design team. Researchers Jacob Garrison and Kate Monninger also joined the team as Associate Consultants. Jacob comes to Hypothesis with experience on both the client and vendor side. Prior to joining Hypothesis, Jacob worked at Paramount Pictures as Manager of Research and Strategy and at Lieberman Research Worldwide as a Research Manager. Kate Monninger comes to Hypothesis with over five years’ experience running quantitative and qualitative research in the US and more than a dozen other countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

One way we have been elevating and humanizing our qualitative research is to take it out of the facility. We have taken over cafés and held focus group discussions in private homes. So far, results have been phenomenal, as respondents are more relaxed and candid, making them better able to share with us abstract concepts such as higher order benefits, which allows us to help clients determine even better, deeper ways to connect with customers.

Rather than presenting data as a linear series of slides that are to be presented and discussed in a specified order with set transitions, Prezi allows all the data to live on one surface. Designed by Walker and Eisen, the twelve-story building was originally intended to provide working areas for artisans, who could also display their wares in the bronze and glass showcases in the lobby.
