Headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles, with a new office in Seattle, Hypothesis conducts strategic, custom work for some of the world’s most important brands including Disney, Uber, Fitbit, eBay, Starbucks, Mattel, and Netflix, among others. And, we are looking to add to that team as we continue to grow. Specifically, we seek a highly experienced individual for the role of “Senior Consultant, Marketing Science.”

The Senior Consultant is an expert at managing projects from start to finish, and plays a strong consultative role with key clients. This person is able to independently lead meetings with clients, explain and lead advanced methodologies, present findings and draft proposals. This person can confidently handle client contact independently (e.g., at a research facility).  

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Exceptionally perform any function in analytics
  • Perform all steps of more advanced analytics, including segmentation and discrete choice with minimal direction
  • Build advanced methodologies for experiments, discrete choice, and conjoint analysis
  • Manage quantitative projects frominitial meetings through report delivery
  • Create key deliverables from scratch: data reports, analysis, and slides (including summary and interpretation of results)
  • Analyze data and creates the “story” of reports with minimal direction
  • Conceptualize slides and collaborates with the Design Team if applicable
  • Initiates analysis plan and perform analysis
  • Acts as mentor for Analysts and Senior Analysts
  • Drafts proposals and cost estimates
  • Presents findings
  • Leads calls with clients

 

Abilities Required

  • Provides sound advice confidently to clients
  • Exhibits an entrepreneurial attitude, showing independent thought and the ability to handle unexpected situations successfully
  • Able to quickly spot any problems with studies and propose solutions
  • Well-developed communication skills, especially in writing reports and executive summaries
  • Can confidently and handle client contact independently (e.g., can be in the back room with a client alone)
  • Ability to lead projects with complicated methodologies and accurately explain method and findings (e.g., methodologies like discrete choice, segmentation and price forecasting)

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Advanced Degree preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience
