July 19, 2021

Los Angeles, CA—Momentum, the in-house strategy group at Hypothesis, is pleased to welcome Maia Wapnick, Group Director, Savannah Daugherty, Director, and Franny Brogan Ball, Senior Strategist to the team. All three will be transitioning from their current roles on the insights team at Hypothesis.

Momentum helps clients answer their “what’s next” question. We activate insights, helping brands identify white space opportunities. The last page of a research report is the first page of a Momentum project. Through brand strategy work, playbooks, detailed market opportunity analyses, and workshops, our talented team of strategists helps important brands do amazing things.

Moving these three multi-talented team members will allow Momentum and Hypothesis team members to work with more continuity across projects. The shift is also a testament to new and interesting career paths for people within the organization. Franny has a PhD in Hispanic Linguistics. Savannah has a background in behavioral psychology. Maia is a talent systems-thinker and brilliant writer. Their diverse backgrounds illustrate the strength of the Hypothesis team.

Jeff Seltzer, CEO and Founder of Hypothesis said, “As Momentum’s strategy work continues to rapidly grow, we want to ensure that we are well-positioned to serve our clients in the best ways possible. Bringing the storytelling skill and insight expertise from Maia, Savannah, and Franny to the Momentum team allows us to better integrate our primary research effort with our strategy work.”

Jessica Tornek, president of Momentum added, “The high standard of excellence and client service this team brings is unmatched. We are thrilled to bring this talent to Momentum, and know that their expertise, creativity, and excellence in client service will make the Momentum team better every day.”
